This experiment is a study based on the emerging practice of cross sensory prosthetics and its effects on the human brain. Some scientist have described the brain as a pattern processing machine and our sensory inputs as our interface to the physical world. What would happen if these inputs were to switch? Would the brain still process it? With the use of VR technology, I was able the use sound inputs to control visual feedback and visual inputs to control audible feedback. During the demo, users were given a table full of sound props to enhance the interaction; the result was an almost hallucinogenic experience that many described as synesthesia.
